Help on 30 Year Treasury Bonds (US)
30 year Treasury Bond Futures are traded on the Chicago Board
of Trade. The price of the Treasury Bonds is quoted in terms of
$1,000 face value. The standard contract size is $100,000 Dollars.
The minimum trading increment is 1/32
30 year Treasury Bonds prices are read as follows:
A price of 120 25/32 would be read as 120 25/32 points
A move from 120 25/32 to 121 25/32 would be a difference of $1,000.00
excluding commissions and fees. The minimum change is 1/32 point
or $31.25
Formula: 121 25/32 - 120 25/32 = 1 0/32 * 1,000 = $1,000.00
